Morphos Metaphor: Roc by witch-girl-pilar Morphos Metaphor: Roc by witch-girl-pilar
:iconmorphos-metaphor:

According to popular belief, the mythological giant of prey, the Roc, influenced the name of the chess piece Rook, though it was really the word rukh which is chariot in Persian.

The Roc is known for hunting down large prey, such as elephants. Many sailors have claimed the bird is one of the many causes of sunken ships and such.

The Rook chess piece is usually represented as a siege tower, which is also considered a fortress in some countries. In the actual game, there is an interesting move called castling.

A/N: Because of this, I wanted to try and "personify" the Roc, and mix it with the "personification" of the Rook chess piece. I wanted to make it look as if this R10 Persona of Joshua is truly a defensive warrior/knight.
